COACHING

College is harder than anyone tells you.

The good news is that the skills to navigate it can be learned. That is exactly what coaching is for.

Laura Amigone, college success coach on a Zoom session

Who coaching is for

1

Starting college

For students heading to college in the fall. Sessions begin over the summer and continue into the first semester so your student hits the ground running.

2

In college

For students who are capable of more than they are showing right now. Consistent support and accountability to turn things around.

3

Senior or recent grad

For students figuring out their first post-college step. The  career design process builds confidence and clarity about what comes next.

Why coaching works

Laura's coaching is different from what your student's college offers.

  • A neutral, judgment-free space for your college student to explore what is going on, not just one area of life

  • An expert view on your student's habits and approach to academics, social life, personal life, and future planning

  • A dedicated opportunity to evaluate what is working and what is not

  • Real accountability with regular calls to check in and assess progress, not just a one-off meeting

What is included

Everything in the College Success Coaching package and what it costs.

  • 8 x 60-minute 1-on-1 Zoom sessions with Laura, typically weekly (but can be adjusted)

  • Coaching across three areas: time management, career planning, and confidence, customized to your student

  • Text reminders before each session with a 1-hour reschedule window

  • 3 parent check-in updates via email (call if needed)

  • A written coaching summary at the end of the program, shared with both student and parent

INVESTMENT

$2,000

Paid in full. Spots per semester are limited. The first step is a free, no obligation call.

1.   Free consult call

A parent schedules a no-obligation Zoom call with Laura. The student can join or not. Laura listens, asks questions, and explains how coaching works. Even just this call can help you feel heard as a parent navigating this chapter.

2.   Student intro session

Laura meets 1-on-1 with the student to talk through coaching and give them a real sense of what working together feels like.

3.   Enrollment

If it is a good fit, Laura sends a client agreement to both parent and student, followed by an invoice.

4.   Coaching begins

First session is scheduled and the work starts.

How coaching works

What changes for your student

College students who come with an open mind and willingness to try new strategies consistently report:

More optimism and a greater sense of control

Better grades and higher GPA

Greater clarity on career direction and next steps

Less procrastination and better follow-through

Better communication with parents, professors, and roommates

More confidence in themselves and their future

HEADING TO COLLEGE IN THE FALL?

Hit the Ground Running

For graduating seniors, coaching is timed around the transition. We start with 3 to 4 sessions over the summer to prepare your student before move-in. The remaining 4-5 sessions take place once the semester begins to bridge the transition and keep momentum going.

What students are saying

Starting College

"Working with Laura over the summer before I got to campus was a huge help because I knew what I needed to focus on to be successful, and not get caught up in what others were doing, or waiting for my college to "fit". Then when I was in the first few weeks of my semester, mapping out my schedule was key to getting my work done.  Having my calls with Laura, who already knew me, to talk through how my classes were going and how I was making friends, felt so reassuring.."

Matt, College Freshman

Procrastinator

"Learning to start smaller, instead of always telling myself start earlier, which never happened, was huge for me. I can actually get a draft of my paper done with time to edit. I still procrastinate on some things, but I don't get myself into the cramming situations I use to."

Adriana, College Junior

Career Direction

“I really didn't know the point of my classes. The calls with Laura really got me thinking about future jobs in a way that felt like I had many options, not like I had to commit to one career for the rest of my life. Coming up with action steps really helped too."

John, College Sophomore
